Working at Mosaic is not about fame or glory: We do it for the kids. The communities. The future. We do blue sky projects and necessary ones, because designing for education isn’t about us, it’s about building an environment that will inspire and engage for generations. We follow a detailed process, one that often takes years, but with young minds in our hands, we don’t believe in rushing to the finish line. And it’s that shared belief that makes us easy to love.

When you’re a firm that designs, first and foremost, for people, you know how to put people first. We pride ourselves on giving everyone respect, a voice in the process, genuine work-life balance and room to grow. (In fact, even our principals worked their way from the bottom of the ladder up.) Maybe it’s all the sugar from our Pie Days, the endorphins from getting to spend enough time with our families, or just that our laid-back environment makes it easier to think, but we’d rather work here than anywhere.

So you think you know Troy?

You might recognize our town as part of New York’s Capital District – and you’d be right. But don’t think that’s all we are. We’re centrally located just north of NYC, east of Boston and south of the Adirondacks and Montreal. We’re the home of Uncle Sam, so we’re steeped in history. We have great restaurants and a rich art, culture and music scene.

And we’d love to take you around some of our favorite spots: the RPI Architectural Lecture Series, the Dutch Udder for ice cream, the Victorian Stroll, and the downtown farmers’ market, just to name a few.
